Tactical

Although thought provoking reading and leadership philosophies can help us reflect on our own behaviors and performance, my approach is more tactical and simple. I provide "how tos" for effective leadership based on your needs and strengths.

• Tools you can apply immediately
• Tools that generate measurable outcomes
• Tools that allow you to be yourself while you
lead effectively

Value Based

Sharing what I have identified as the five CORE VALUES of my business may help you understand my way of doing business.

Truth:
My clients need and expect objectivity and honesty in the coaching relationship and they must see and experience these principles in the coaching process.

Discretion:
An effective coaching relationship must be based on strict confidentiality. My clients can always trust that no information will ever be disclosed to third parties without express approval.

Collaboration:
I recognize a joint responsibility in creating a customer's success. I use the principle of full collaboration to honor this responsibility. I pledge to help clients replicate the same collaborative relationship with their peers and subordinates.

Flexibility:
Sensitivity to the individual style and skill needs of my clients will require the customization of coaching tools and I must always maintain the willingness to provide this level of support.

Balance:
In a world of excessive time demands my clients must be able to equalize their personal needs and professional obligations. The coaching relationship must enable them to achieve this delicate balance.

Process Oriented

The following outlines the COACHING PROCESS that I generally use to help clients develop Leadership Skills through Customized Executive Training.

• Exploratory discussion to establish whether I'm the best match for your needs and desired outcomes
• Written proposal, including recommended plan (i.e., focus areas for development, timeframes, meeting formats), and anticipated investment
• Pre-work interview(s) and assessments
• Agreement on development areas and opportunities for growth
• Coaching sessions (i.e., meetings, telephone conferences, email exchanges, as needed)
• "Between meeting" action plans and debriefing of successes and challenges in applying skills/systems
• Short and long-term follow up

Customization and flexibility contribute greatly to a successful coaching relationship. Please keep in mind that if something is currently working well for you individually or as a team, I am not interested in adjusting it. Although I will help you leverage your strengths. We'll focus on those areas where you acknowledge you could be more effective.
